Yesterday Apple introduced the latest version of their operating system iOS 7 and for those of you who are running the latest version of Android, a lot of them will look very familiar because they were part of Android first.

You know there is nothing I'd like to do more than trashing Apple, so here are some random thoughts I had about this year's WWDC... Enjoy!

Just days after the Samsung's UNPACKED event,  Apple released a webpage explaining why its flagship smartphone is better than the competition and I must say, it gave me a pretty good laugh! I'll explain,  Let's take this page a part!

Why iPhone? Because you're too stupid to get an Android phone!

#1 : Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was arguably the biggest Android phone release to date, so it's hardly surprising that the inevitable S4 is leading the pack as one of the most anticipated phones of 2013. While details on the device remain strictly in rumor mill territory, the best guesses include a 5-inch 1080p HD display, a 13-megapixel camera, and integrated support for Visa wireless payments. But one thing we know for sure: we'll be getting all of the relevant details on March 14 at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall.

On Friday, Apple lost the title of the world’s most valuable publicly traded company to Exxon Mobil, after shedding 14.4 percent in share price – and over £50 billion in value – in just two days.

CEO Tim Cook shrugged off the news, and focused the attention of investors on the record results of the last quarter. “The only companies that report better quarters pump oil. I do not know about you all, but I do not want to work for those companies,” he told the audience at Apple’s Cupertino Campus.

Apple was supposed to have won big in the suit against Samsung in a massive series of claims of patent infringement. This was the apparent result of a jury verdict last August in which there were charges of attorney misconduct, juror misconduct and trial errors before the ink was dry on the decision.

Apple has acquired a reputation for being overly-aggressive in taking its competitors to court over patents (as demonstrated by this awesome video called “Apple Kills Star Trek”). In fact, it was just a few months ago that Apple took Samsung to court and won a whopping $1 billion dollars for supposed patent infringements.

Every year we think the evolution in smartphones must have finished. Every year we're wrong. Very wrong.

2012 saw quad-core processors become the norm among the high-end Android world, while Apple finally yielded in the screen size arms race by launching the taller, bigger iPhone 5.

Even Nokia broke a few boundaries with its high-spec imaging technology, sticking unbelievably powerful camera equipment in its latest phones, giving us access to mobile technology that even a couple of years ago would've seemed impossible.

So what can we expect to see in 2013? Will any maker be mad enough to launch a phone with an "octo-core" processor? Will Samsung expand the Galaxy Note's enormous screen by another inch or two, forcing trouser manufacturers the world over to expand pocket sizes accordingly?

Some things are guaranteed. There will be an iPhone update of some sort and Samsung will launch a few thousand differing Galaxy models, but what will be the big movers and publicity-grabbers of the 2013 smartphone scene?

The U.S. International Trade Commission has taken interest in a recent case between Apple and Samsung, and no, it’s not the billion-dollar ruling from this summer. The ITC wants to make sure that Apple did not infringe upon Samsung’s patents while making the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad.

As many of you know, Samsung supplies several important pieces to some of Apple’s devices, including the processors. Recently, Samsung decided to ask 20% more for the cost of those processors.
