At CES 2013, LG Electronics didn't have a mere booth; it had its own little entertainment universe packed full of HDTVs, smartphones and more. One of the company's more popular attractions was its curved OLED panel. LG even "enhanced" the curvature of the display's form factor by lining three units side-by-side, thus creating a very wide arc. Clever.

"The unique new EA9800 model features the industry’s very first curved screen ergonomic design with full CINEMA 3D support," LG said on Tuesday. "With a gentle inward flex, the entire screen surface is equidistant from the viewer’s eyes, removing the problem of screen-edge visual distortion and detail loss. Availability and pricing were not announced."

This new curved panel – as well as all of its OLED TVs - features the company's proprietary WRGB technology. This Four-Color Pixel system has a white sub-pixel which works in conjunction with the RGB setup, creating the "perfect" color output. A built-in Color Refiner provides even greater tonal enhancement, the company said.

Also on show was a (world's first) 84-inch Ultra HD multi-touch screen that lets the user interact with media and applications, as seen below. Other HD products included playing smartphone games on a TV using a wireless connection (Shadowgun), and terrestrial Ultra HD broadcasting that was not only super smooth, but super sharp at 4K60P.
