Both the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note are immensely popular among hordes of Android fans, and with the South Korean vendor releasing them at different points during any given year, one only has to wait a couple of months to see a brand new Galaxy handset. With the Galaxy S4 now announced pending release next month, attentions will naturally turn to the larger, so-called “phablet” Galaxy Note III, and according to a report from Korean publication Asiae.co.kr, the device will pack an “unbreakable” display.

Revealed at tonight's Unpacked event in New York City, the Galaxy S4 will take the mantle of the Galaxy S III as Samsung's new flagship smartphone, sporting a massive 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 441ppi — a significant leap over the Galaxy S III's 306ppi display and the iPhone 5's 326ppi retina display. While similar to last year's model, the design has undergone some notable upgrades, including a thinner bezel around the new display and sleek metal trim around the sides.

Ubuntu Smartphones are set to be shipped on October this year, which will definitely tickle the fancies of people who love open source gadgets *tsk tsk*. This type of OS makes these smart phones' UI and whatnot highly customizable at will.

Presently, open source smartphones are either discontinued or are only available to a few developers. Furthermore, the market for Ubuntu Smartphones is highly specific, being North America as well as other geographic markets that prefer open source systems, according to a report by Wall Street Journal.

The source further states that Ubuntu has captured the interest of popular mobile carriers, but no word is given yet as to who and what companies were drawn to developing Ubuntu smart phones.

Developers and enthusiasts will definitely want October to come and a select few will also have access to this Linux-based OS as a pilot ROM for the Galaxy Nexus late February and I can't wait til this gets ported to my Note 2, I mean look how good it look in the picture so imagine how could it look like in person!
